Hello Artists, 

To celebrate the arrival of spring we will be starting our spring collage birds inspired by Australian artist, Pete Cromer. Cromer is a designer, illustrator and happy art creator based on Victoria’s Surf Coast in Australia. He uses different colorful papers to create his art, many of which are animals. 

To get started, watch the video below to learn more about Pete Cromer.



Supplies:

-9x12 painting paper

-paint brush

-tools to create texture (see video)

-neon paints 

Instructions:

Follow along with the video above to start your collage bird art. Today we will be making painted paper that we will use in our collage next week. Keep your painting somewhere safe to dry. We will put the birds together next week.

4/21 Art K-2

  Hello Artists,  This week we will finish our poppy art inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Today we are adding the wonderful details that we would see when we look close up at the flower, just like Georgia would. Take a look at the photos below of Georgia's poppy painting and a real poppy before we get started.  Poppy Instructions   (SafeShare link) Supplies: -flower shape (from last week) -black oil pastel -green construction paper -school glue -scissors -green crayon or marker Instructions: Today we will add the final touches to our poppy art. 5/26 1st and 2nd Grade

  Hello 1st and 2nd Graders, Last week we started our salmon project by painting the cardboard cutouts. Today we will add some final details to complete your artwork.  Salmon pt2 (SafeShare link) Supplies: -cardboard salmon cutout -black and white oil pastel or crayon -school glue -googly eye Instructions: Today you will be adding the last details to your spawning salmon. You can use crayons or oil pastels (from previous lessons) to work today. You should also find a large googly eye in your art kit that you will add using school glue.
