3/17 Art 7/8

 

Hello Artists, 

This week we will continue our mosaic project inspired by pop artist, Jason Mecier. As you work today be sure to be filling your entire page with your edible dry goods. I am really excited to see your finished work. 

Supplies:

-mosaic from last week
-school glue or hot glue
-dried edible items (pasta, cereal, candy)
*Check with an adult before using food for art!

Instructions:

Continue to add your dry edible pieces to your mosaic using school glue or hot glue (if that is available to you.) Fill your entire page with your pieces, including the background.

This is our last week to finish up the food mosaics. Please email completed work to me by Friday 3/19. melissaallen@thecottonwoodschool.org

4/21 Art K-2

  Hello Artists,  This week we will finish our poppy art inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Today we are adding the wonderful details that we would see when we look close up at the flower, just like Georgia would. Take a look at the photos below of Georgia's poppy painting and a real poppy before we get started.  Poppy Instructions   (SafeShare link) Supplies: -flower shape (from last week) -black oil pastel -green construction paper -school glue -scissors -green crayon or marker Instructions: Today we will add the final touches to our poppy art. 5/26 1st and 2nd Grade

  Hello 1st and 2nd Graders, Last week we started our salmon project by painting the cardboard cutouts. Today we will add some final details to complete your artwork.  Salmon pt2 (SafeShare link) Supplies: -cardboard salmon cutout -black and white oil pastel or crayon -school glue -googly eye Instructions: Today you will be adding the last details to your spawning salmon. You can use crayons or oil pastels (from previous lessons) to work today. You should also find a large googly eye in your art kit that you will add using school glue.
