Hello 4th and 5th Graders!
This week in art we will be starting a landscape project to go along with your study of the geography of Oregon. We will be representing four different ecoregions in one work of art. Today we will start by labeling the ecoregions and drawing the first two, Cascade Mountains and Columbia Plateau. Study the photos below before we get started.
Cascade Mountains

Columbia Plateau
Supplies:
-12x18 sheet of heavy paper
-pencil with eraser
-black sharpie
Instructions:
Watch the video above for full instructions and to follow along with me as we draw the first two landscapes.
1. Fold your 12x18 sheet of paper in half twice, creating four equal sections.
2. Label each section with the following ecoregions: Cascade Mountains, Basin and Range, Columbia Plateau and Coast Range Mountains.
3. Today we will draw Cascade Mountains and Columbia Plateau. Be sure to watch the video for this step. We will continue to add to this next week. Keep in a safe place until then!
I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
