This week in art we will start a snowman watercolor project. This will be a two part lesson that we will start this week and finish next week. Today we will draw our snowman and next week we will add the color! The fun part about this project is that we will be drawing our snowman from a worm's perspective. That means we will be imagining that we are tiny worms on the ground looking up at a snowman. How do we see the snowman as a worm? Probably a little differently then if you or I were looking at a snowman in real life, right?
To start, listen to the read aloud below, All You Need for a Snowman by Alice Schertle.
I hope you enjoyed the story! Now let's get started on our snowman!-painting paper
-pencil
-black oil pastel
Instructions:
1. Watch the video above and draw along with me to make a snowman from a worm's view.
2. If you started with pencil be sure to outline your drawing with a black oil pastel.
3. Keep your drawing in your art folder. We will add color next week.
I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
Melissa
