1/27 Art 3-5

Hello Artists,

Last week we started our bug's perspective drawings. This week we will finish up by adding color!

Remember that perspective is a word that is used to describe what you see from where you are. As an artists’ tool, perspective helps us understand what we see from where we sit or stand, and how to draw the objects that we see in a way that someone else can look at our drawing and feel like they are in the same room as we are, looking at the same objects!

Here is another clip from the movie, A Bug's Life. Enjoy and then get started!

Supplies:

-bug's perspective drawing from last week
-colored pencils

Instructions:

This week we will add color to your bug's perspective drawing. Before you get started look over your drawing. Would your drawing be clear to anyone looking at it that you are drawing from a bug's view? If not, what details can you add that will help give this perspective?

When you feel confident in your drawing it's time to add color. I suggest using colored pencils for this project, but you can use whatever is available to you to add color. Be sure to take your time and color your entire work of art.

I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
Melissa
