1/13 Art 6-8

Hello Artists,

Last week you should have completed your value paintings keeping in mind that you will be adding details this week using black sharpie or if you have black paint available to you, you can use that if you prefer. Your details should complete your artwork by giving more insight to what your background is. For example in the student work above, once the sea animals were added it is clear the background painting is the ocean.

Supplies:

-value painting

-pencil

-black sharpie

Instructions:

1. Use a pencil to lightly sketch out the details you are adding to your painting.

2. Outline and fill in your details with a black sharpie or black paint.

Please email finished work to me at melissaallen@thecottonwoodschool.org. This assignment is due on January 20th.

I can't wait to see what you create!

💜

Melissa
