12/9 Art K-2

Hello Artists, 

This week will be using what we have learned about lines and shapes to start our big winter project! We will be painting the background this week and next week we will use shapes to create a winter fox to finish up. 

To start, listen to the story Cub's First Winter by Rebecca Elliott. 


Supplies:

-painting paper 

-pencil

-blue and white paint 

-paint brush

-cardboard square or other surface for paint mixing

Instructions:

Work along with me in the video above to create a winter landscape.  When you are finished let your painting dry in a safe place. This will be our background for our fox next week.

*Keep the remainder of the white paint for next week.

4/21 Art K-2

  Hello Artists,  This week we will finish our poppy art inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Today we are adding the wonderful details that we would see when we look close up at the flower, just like Georgia would. Take a look at the photos below of Georgia's poppy painting and a real poppy before we get started.  Poppy Instructions   (SafeShare link) Supplies: -flower shape (from last week) -black oil pastel -green construction paper -school glue -scissors -green crayon or marker Instructions: Today we will add the final touches to our poppy art. 5/26 1st and 2nd Grade

  Hello 1st and 2nd Graders, Last week we started our salmon project by painting the cardboard cutouts. Today we will add some final details to complete your artwork.  Salmon pt2 (SafeShare link) Supplies: -cardboard salmon cutout -black and white oil pastel or crayon -school glue -googly eye Instructions: Today you will be adding the last details to your spawning salmon. You can use crayons or oil pastels (from previous lessons) to work today. You should also find a large googly eye in your art kit that you will add using school glue.
