12/9 Art 3-5

 Hello Artists,

This week will begin our winter painting project by creating a sky with value. Review value below and then get started!

WHAT IS VALUE?

Value is an element of design defined as the LIGHTS and DARKS in an artwork. Value can refer to black, white and ranges of grays or it can refer to color and the lights (tints) and darks (shades) of that color.

Supplies:
-painting paper
-paint brush
-white and blue paint (picked up from school)

Instructions:
Watch the video above for full instructions. This week we will start our winter painting project by creating a sky with value. We will add snow and trees next week. Keep your painting in a safe place until then.
For some reason my video cut off the ending. The last value of color I added was the pure blue.
*Save the remainder of your white paint for next week. We will use it for snowy hills.

I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
