Hello Artists,
This week in art we will be finishing up our big winter projects! Please check out your lessons for more details. I am excited to see your finished work, please share these with me through email at melissaallen@thecottonwoodschool.org. I am also posting some extra art ideas at the bottom of this page that you can explore over winter break if you'd like.
I am so proud of the artists and people that you are. I hope you all have a wonderful winter break full of laughter, love and creativity!
💜

Paper stars are a fun way to decorate for the holidays. These are made with just paper lunch bags and a glue stick and they turn out so magical! I plan to make these over winter break and create a garland of stars!
Gingerbread playdough is my favorite kind of playdough. You can find the recipe here,
Make a puffy paint snowman card. Mix equal parts of foamy shaving cream and school glue and paint right onto card stock to create a snowman. Apply a nice thick amount to give it that "puffy" 3D effect. While the glue mixture is still wet add snowman accessories using things like pipe cleaner, sequins, buttons, pom poms, beads or anything else you may have to make your snowman come to life! Let dry overnight.
Decorate old tiles with permanent markers to create a beautiful gift for a loved one. You can seal these with mod podge to keep outside or to use as a coaster or add a ribbon to the back with hot glue to turn into a hanging art piece.
Lastly, make paper snowflakes!
