12/2 Art K-2

Hello Artists, 
This week we will explore shapes in art. Shapes are created in art when a line is enclosed, one end of a line meets the other. All shapes fall into two categories: geometric (regular shapes) and organic (less defined edges, like a cloud) Start by watching the video below. 




Supplies:

-markers or crayons
-shapes worksheet (kindergarten can find this worksheet in their art folders, 1/2 should have received these at Monday's supply pick up)


Instructions:

Today we will work together to get creative with shapes. Gather your supplies and work with me while watching the video above.

4/21 Art K-2

  Hello Artists,  This week we will finish our poppy art inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Today we are adding the wonderful details that we would see when we look close up at the flower, just like Georgia would. Take a look at the photos below of Georgia's poppy painting and a real poppy before we get started.  Poppy Instructions   (SafeShare link) Supplies: -flower shape (from last week) -black oil pastel -green construction paper -school glue -scissors -green crayon or marker Instructions: Today we will add the final touches to our poppy art. 5/26 1st and 2nd Grade

  Hello 1st and 2nd Graders, Last week we started our salmon project by painting the cardboard cutouts. Today we will add some final details to complete your artwork.  Salmon pt2 (SafeShare link) Supplies: -cardboard salmon cutout -black and white oil pastel or crayon -school glue -googly eye Instructions: Today you will be adding the last details to your spawning salmon. You can use crayons or oil pastels (from previous lessons) to work today. You should also find a large googly eye in your art kit that you will add using school glue.
