11/4 Art 3rd grade

Hello Artists,

I know you have been learning about fossils with Fawn and this week we will create art to go along with your fossil unit. To start watch the video above for a fossil review before we get started.

Fossil:  a remnant, impression, or trace of an organism of past geologic ages that has been preserved in the earth's crust

To start our fossil resist art we will create drawing of fossils. You can choose an animal, plant, shell, animal track....it is up to you what fossil you draw. Remember to include many details and take your time.

Supplies:
-white painting paper
-pencil
-white crayon

Instructions:
  1. Choose a fossil to draw. Using a pencil draw softly, with small lines to show all the details of your fossil. You can draw one big fossil or several smaller ones.
  2. Once your drawing is complete go over all your lines with a white crayon.
  3. Keep this drawing in your art folder for next time.
This is a two part lesson. We will finish this project in our next art class.

I can't wait to see what you create!

💜
Melissa
