Hello Artists,
This week in art we will finish our fossil resist art. To add background color we will be using watercolors. When you use watercolors with crayon you create what is called RESIST art. Resist, means that the crayon will repel the watercolor away from it. So, even if you paint right on top of your crayon the paint will not cover the crayon. This will reveal your fossil lined with white crayon.
Supplies:
-fossil drawing
-watercolor paints
-paint brush
-water cup
Instructions:
- If you have not yet outlined your fossil using a white crayon, do so now.
- Use watercolors to cover your entire paper. This is the ground in which your fossil is in. Using colors like brown, black and green are great ways to get a realistic look. Be sure to paint your entire paper.
I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
