Hello Artists,
This week we will be finishing up your above and below gardens. If you have not yet outlined your drawings with a black oil pastel, do so before you get started.
To add color we will be using crayons and watercolors this week. When you use these together you create what is called RESIST art. Resist, means that the crayon will repel the watercolor away from it. So, even if you paint right on top of your crayon the paint will not cover the crayon. Pretty neat!
Let's get started!
Supplies:
-above/below garden drawing
-crayons
-watercolor paints
-paint brush
-water cup
Instructions:
- Color all of the vegetable plants with crayons. Use realistic colors, colors that look closest to what the plant looks like in real life.
- Use watercolors to color the ground and sky. Be sure to cover all of your paper so your art looks complete.
I can't wait to see what you create!
💜
Melissa
