10/7 K-2 Art

Hello Artists, 

This week in art you will use your color wheels you made last week to create a color wheel creature! Before you start check out the first video below with some important reminders on how to safely use scissors when cutting your color wheel out and the second video for color wheel creature instructions.

Video 1, scissor safety

Video 2, color wheel creature
Supplies:

-color wheel worksheet 

-scissors

-glue stick

-sheet of paper (colored or white)

-markers or crayons

Instructions:

  1. After watching the video above, cut out your color wheel and glue it to the center of a blank sheet of paper.
  2. Now it's time to get creative! Use your markers or crayons to turn your color wheel into a monster, animal, person....it's up to you! Use shapes to create the features you add.
  3. Color in the features and maybe even give your color wheel creature a name!

4/21 Art K-2

  Hello Artists,  This week we will finish our poppy art inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Today we are adding the wonderful details that we would see when we look close up at the flower, just like Georgia would. Take a look at the photos below of Georgia's poppy painting and a real poppy before we get started.  Poppy Instructions   (SafeShare link) Supplies: -flower shape (from last week) -black oil pastel -green construction paper -school glue -scissors -green crayon or marker Instructions: Today we will add the final touches to our poppy art. 5/26 1st and 2nd Grade

  Hello 1st and 2nd Graders, Last week we started our salmon project by painting the cardboard cutouts. Today we will add some final details to complete your artwork.  Salmon pt2 (SafeShare link) Supplies: -cardboard salmon cutout -black and white oil pastel or crayon -school glue -googly eye Instructions: Today you will be adding the last details to your spawning salmon. You can use crayons or oil pastels (from previous lessons) to work today. You should also find a large googly eye in your art kit that you will add using school glue.
