10/21 K-2 Art

Hello Artists,

We are going to continue to explore the use of lines in art by creating a beautiful pumpkin drawing. What kind of lines do you see in the pumpkin above? I see shapes, spirals and zig zags. Remember lines can show us texture, movement and shape. Think about how we can show those things in our pumpkin art. Today you will draw along with me. Before you start the video, collect the supplies that are needed today.

Supplies:

-heavy painting paper (in art folder)
-pencil
-black oil pastel

Instructions:

  1. Using a pencil follow along with me to draw a pumpkin. You can pause the video if you need to slow down.
  2. Outline all of your lines with a black oil pastel.
  3. When you are finished with all of the outlines put your pumpkin drawing in your art folder until next week.
This is a two part lesson. The final completed assignment is due on Friday 10/30. I will be inviting you to share your finished project on Flipgrid. Take your time and do your best work!

I can't wait to see what you create!

💜
Melissa
