Welcome to ART at CSCS 2020-2021

Dear Families and Students,

Welcome to art at The Cottonwood School! I will miss seeing you in person this fall, but I am very excited to see the wonderful art you create while learning from home. Please know I am always here for you. Reach out anytime with questions, comments or just to say hi. I can be reached through email at melissaallen@thecottonwoodschool.org or through the comments section on this blog.

This will be the place to find your art lessons each week. Lesson links will be sent out by teachers and you can also easily find your weekly assignment by checking the most recently added lesson under your grade in my tabs section on the right side of the art homepage.

Completed art can be turned in through email to me or posted on our school Facebook virtual art gallery page.

All students should have received an art kit in your teacher deliveries last week. Please let me know if you did not. The supplies in the kits are a little different for each grade and I will go over each kit in this weeks video.

Now to get started with a smile I would like to share with you What is Art? by The Small Potatoes. Enjoy!

I am looking forward to a great creative start to the school year!

💜

Melissa
